We have known Anne and Kelvin Sloan for over six years. During this time a substantial amount of refurbishment has been carried out to our villa in Playa Blanca. The alterations included perimeter walling, terracing, and formation of a swimming pool and renovation of interior together with an extension to include a dining room, kitchen and garage. We are very pleased with the standards achieved and would comment that the property has been visited and admired by many. It has been a pleasure to communicate with Anne and Kelvin and we have always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful.

I was introduced to Phoenix by recommendation, always a good sign. I discussed our requirements with them, was shown other work in progress which I thought satisfactory and was, I think, quoted a fair price for the work we required. The work, a new bathroom and utility room installation, progressed to plan in our absence, [back in the UK], and was completed within the agreed time span. We were kept informed of progress on a regular basis. Cost was, excepting a few extras at our instigation, as agreed. I found the general standard of work to be exceptionally good, the quality of build and finish was excellent. The company appear to pride themselves on standard of service, not only during the project but also after sales. We did have a problem, really the responsibility of the manufacturer, with one piece of faulty equipment, [the toilet]; this was replaced immediately, at Phoenix's expense. I would have no hesitation in recommending Phoenix in the future, indeed I am utilising their services on other maintenance work at present.

When we were selecting a Building Company to carry out alterations to our property in Las Brenas, we were looking for reliability, expertise, competitive pricing, and assistance with sourcing items, good communication and after sales service. These qualities we most definitely found with the construction of our new shower room, creation of two patios, installation of new aluminium windows, two new arches, re-tiling of selected outside areas and construction of new internal garden walls. Having seen work done by Phoenix at friend’s houses we asked them to quote on a full refurbishment. We were provided with a full detailed quotation with many on site meetings. The quotation and the time scale given for the work were hed and follow up service was excellent. We are extremely pleased with the quality finish achieved. Our full refurbishment has achieved a villa still with traditional Spanish look and feel built to British building standards. From the start to the finish of our six month refurbishment project the help and guidance we received to enable us to select exactly what we wanted was second to none. We felt confident to return to England and were kept fully informed by photos and e mails regarding the progression of the work.

We moved to lanzarote in 1999 and needed to replace one of the windows in the house we had bought, we were fortunate that we chose Kelvin from the many adverts to do that initial work as since then, over the last eight years he has completed a kitchen and bedroom extension; fitted new windows and doors throughout; refurbished the bathrooms as well as the many other minor works and maintenance. The high quality of work has been noted by visitors to our house and the service we have received from him and his good team of workmen will always be highly recommended by us to friends and anyone needing work completed.

The above Company have undertaken advice on and the erection of an extension to our property and have fitted it out as a bathroom, which has been admired by visitors. We contracted Phoenix Building and Maintenance Services in October 2006 to quote for a building extension following recommendation from a friend. The initial enquiry was dealt with swiftly and courteously followed by a detailed quotation and plan. We accepted the quotation and the work was carried out at our request in March 2007. Each phase of the work was conducted in a thouroughly professional manner and the quality of the work was first class. We cannot speak highly enough of the way in which the team conducted themselves during the contract period. From start to finish we were kept informed at all times. The communication was excellent. We simply wanted to write to you, now that things have returned pretty much to normal, to say how very pleased Sue and I are with the finished product having had our two bathrooms completely renovated. They are looking so much better now and very different from what we had before which is exactly what we wanted. It was a real pleasure for us having Brian, Justin, Rob, Paul, Steve and Ben in our home and they treated both us and our home with nothing but respect and I hope that we did the same and made them feel very much at home whilst work was being carried out. We have to say a very big thank you to Anne also who must wear out a pair of shoes a week running around like she does. Also, whilst writing Kelvin, I wanted to thank you personally too. Firstly I have to say that every single one of your staff who came into this house had nothing but complimentary things to say about both you and anne regarding your professional and personal relationships with them. On a professional front, having been a manager myself in a former life!, you never failed to 'produce the goods' for us, always on time, calling when you said you would, either on the phone or personally and kept us in the picture the whole time that work was going on.
